Prevacid helped in reducing my stomach acid. My anxiety peaked when I went off of a high dose of the antidepressant effexor (and some other ones too). I thought the anxiety was never going to go away, and was working on just accepting it, but fortunatly the anxiety symptoms completely disappeared after a few months. I am happy to say that I am now off of all the medications and I actually feel better than I did when I was on them. I think that reducing stomach acid might help in reducing anxiety.
