Robert Kennedy Is Back
Hello! I havent posted in quite a while. I have spent the last six months going to school to get my welding level “C” cuz its always good to have a trade. Now that I am finished that I am back to building websites, and writing. If you are looking for a writer check out my special offers for articles : .www.robertjfkennedy.com
Is summertime and it is gorgeous here in Penticton BC . It is a little smokey from all the forest fires, but I love summer and a little smoke isnt going to damper my favorite season at all. I am also happy to say that I got my motorcycle license (yippee), and have been having a great time as a new rider.
When I was blogging here six months or so ago the Canadian economy was just starting to decline. It was already bad in the US of A, but it took a little longer to effect us Canadians. Right now the Canadian economy has bottomed out and just started to slowly start to recover. Predictions are calling for bad economic times until sometime in 2010. Hopefully that is the case, and employment begins to increase. Job prospects here are rather bleak. People are job sharing, taking wage cuts or worst. So what do you do in these tough economic times - For starters keep a positive attitude, and remember that this too shall pass. For myself this is gives me time to work at my passion of building websites, writing, and internet marketing. I may also take this opportunity to go back to school and study website design. I love building sites, but since I am self taught there are lots of gaps in my knowledge, and everytime I try something new it usually takes me a while to figure it out.
Speaking of internet opportunities let me inject a local success story. Here in Penticton there I a guy that I personally dont know, but have heard about (its a small town). Rumours have it that he makes $25,000 a month and doesnt have to work. Of course when people hear that they want to know how its done. Well, back when the internet was invented he bought up a couple thousand website domain names, and now, 20 years later, he leases them out to big companies in the states. That is a opportunity that has come and gone but there is still room for success. This successfull local says that the way to succeed online now is to work for companies getting them on the first page of google. I was happy to hear that because thats what I do. With search engine optimization skills you can write your own paycheck. If you can get traffic, and exploit it your own your way to making money online.
Where To Start
1) Get a website, and put a blog on it. This will cost you $10 per year for a domain, and $10 per month for hosting.
2) Blog about your passion.
3) Create backlinks to your site.
4) Make oney from a) selling advertising on your site. You can deal with advertisers directly, or use a service like google adsense, or a company like azoogle. b) Promote affiliate programs and recieve a commision on sales. c) build your list, and sell your own product.
Now your not going to make $25,000 a month right away, but give it 20 years and expect good things.
