Google Knol
A Knol? Sounds like a troll, but it is actually what googles refers to as a unit of knowledge. You can use Knol to share your knowledge with the world. Some features of a knol are connecting your knol with other experts to expand, and grow knols. You can set your level of collaboration you want to have with the knol community. A knol is similar to a wiki, but knol’s are not edited, unless you permit it. Knols can also be rated and commented on by community members.
Google Knols can currently be written is Arabic, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Don’t mistake Google Knols as being blogs. Write your Knols write in a formal tone like a encyclopedia or text book is written in. Your knols should be above everything informative. You can still voice your opinions in a Knol, just stick to the facts.
Google has given authors of knols at lot of freedom, but if your knol violates googles policies it will be taken down. Two things google wants to avoid is Knol being used to direct traffic to websites, and displaying advertisments.
